Managing Your Cash When You Hit The Casino - The Smiling Heart

Managing Your Cash When You Hit The Casino

One of my favorite ways to enjoy myself is my monthly trip to the local casino. I am blessed to have one of the most amazing casinos in the Bicycle Casino, so close to my home. This is a casino like no other with one of the biggest casino floors in the country, plus regular prizes, promotions, big jackpots and live entertainment every weekend. One of my favorite things to do in the casino is not only gamble, but to people watch, especially watching those who clearly haven’t been to a casino before.

I have seen many things during my time in the casino, including people who have landed themselves in financial difficulty thanks to gambling. I wanted therefore, to write a little bit about how you can manage your money when you go to the casino, to ensure that you focus on having fun above everything else.

Setting Limits

The first step is to ensure that you have placed limits on yourself in terms of how much you will spend in the casino, and how much you will be happy with winning. Both of these limits are vitally important and doing so before you go makes the most sense. In terms of how much you will spend, the best way to look at it is to think about how much you can afford to lose, whilst nobody wants to lose, it is always a possibility and you need to ensure that should you lose it all, it won’t cause problems.

Many gamblers will consider profit as bonus money which they don’t care about losing, they will then bet on bigger stakes to try and win even more. The fact of the matter is that profit is profit and you need to know when the right time is to leave the casino, put limits in place, and stick to them.

Restrictions

In terms of how much you are going to spend, make sure that this is all that you take to the casino with you, don’t take any credit cards or additional cash, leave that in your hotel. The reason for this is because many gamblers will lose money, and then try to chase those losses to get their money back. In desperation to win money, gamblers take bigger risks and end up losing even more than they lost in the first place. Don’t allow yourself to do this.

Gambling

I like to gamble small in the first few hours and slowly build up my pot, before pushing the boat out a little more once the evening draws on, and I get a feeling for how my luck is. I think that this is the smartest strategy in the casino because the last thing that you want is to blow it all in the first hour as that will tempt you into going back for more cash.

Remember that if you aren’t feeling lucky, or things aren’t going your way, walk out of the casino and try another day.
